Utah Lake 2009

Finally a day of sun so we decided to take out the grand kids to Utah Lake. Water is not very clean but who cares when you can have sun and fun all in one day. Our cute Rachael is catching a few rays while Terry and Jaxon hang there feet over to cool.. The water was only about 69 degrees so it did take your breath away when you jumped in.

Colin and Jaxon thought it was funny to push each other in. I think Jaxon was the one that actually pushed Colin in the most. They would laugh and laugh.

Alex came along with us and played in the water with the grand kids. Ava was wanting to sit on the knee board. Ava is going to be a water baby. She loves the water and did not want to get out. Dad "Clay" will probably have her on a knee board before long.

Terry enjoys getting away and especially with all our family. Our family trip on our house boat to Lake Powell is in 3 weeks and it is the best time of all.

Ava wanted so bad to try the knee board especially because she saw her older brother Colin doing this behind the boat. Clay put her up on the board and she thought she was very special.

Ava calls her grandpa "pooba" and he thinks that is so cute. She was counting before she decided to jump in. Of course "pooba" is holding on to her even when she did not want the help.

Alex and Clay decided to go out on the knee boards together. Clay kept trying to push his brother off his knee board which worked a couple of times. They all have so much fun with one another. I love to have my family around they make us laugh so much. It does a parent proud to see your kids all get along so well and spend time with one another. Terry and I speak of this often and love to spend time with them all.

Puppies and Grandkids

Unconditional love is what makes puppies and grand kids such a delight. Jaxon just can not get enough of our new little Fizzle. Of course whatever Jaxon is doing Ava is right along his side doing the exact thing.

Jaxon kept telling me "grandma she really loves me". Kisses and more kisses are handed out to one another and a little squeeze now and than.

As Fizzle is trying to nap Ava had to come and give just one more pat and tell Fizzle "nite"

Since we have had so much rain we are getting a lot of worms and Rollie pollie's so the kids decided to go our and start digging away. Like brother like sister.

Colin was in my office on the computer while all this was going on. Colin is a whiz when it comes to computers and can figure about anything out. I have to say putting him into Waterford a private school has made a huge difference in him. Reading chapter books in a month after being there was a huge feet he accomplished, considering he was not reading at all when he first started.

Little Fizzle

Here she is all 4 lbs and full of energy. Meet Fizzle our new addition to the family. She arrived her on June 19th at 10:32 am courtesy of Frontier Airlines. Can you imagine flying by yourself at 8 weeks of age. She is one brave pup and very full of herself.

Her brother Gizzy is not a fan as of yet. And Fizzle is determined to get on his good side. She tries to sleep next to him but he will have nothing to do with that and just grawls at her.

I have ordered the princess her own bed but it has not arrived so I am using one of the pillows from our precious Kate that passed away 3 weeks ago. Fizzle loves this pillow so I will use it in her new bed when it arrives. Just so you all know yes even Gizzy got a new bed. I could not leave her out of this. I do not want him to think he is not loved as an equal.

Monday I worked with Fizzle for just an hour to master our dog door. She is very smart and figured this out right away. Now I have created a monster and she is in and out all the time. If we could just master potty training now. She pees in the house than runs outside because she gets scolded for peeing in the house. At least she does pooh outside on the porch.
She is sleeping through the night finally so I am now feeling a little more rested.

Our Latest Addition ShyAnn

After Loosing our Westie Katie a few weeks ago the house has not been the same. I decided to start looking for another Westie to bring home. Fizzle will arrive in Utah via airplane next weekend to meet her long lost bother Gizzy our Pekinese. Gizzy has been very depressed without her companion. Fizzle is only 8 weeks old so having a new puppy around will keep me on my toes. Welcome little Fizzle to your new home.

I had to get 2 new beds since I use them in my front living room area. I decided to get Gizzy a new bed as well to match Fizzle's. Of course I had to get the car carrier also. This is NOT our dog just a picture of the bed with the fabric. Now we will be styling riding around all together.
